S T O R Y

So towards the end of last year I got together with a few other awesome creatives and vendors in the industry for a little impromptu session. I mean why not chuck more on your plate at the busiest time of year, right. We didnt really talk much on the brief due to being super busy and decided to wing it and just experiment and have a little fun with this one for a change. Usually I like to shoot the hour before sunset, but Mckaylah had other commitments that afternoon teaching so it meant we had to do the shoot a little earlier in the day. Challenge accepted! We rolled with it and of course the day of the shoot was harsh sunlight at midday. This is not really your friend when it comes to having nice smooth skin but I managed to hide Mckaylah in pockets of shade at times and bust out a make shift scrim from a box lid (only thing available at the time) to deflect sun overhead. It was also a first time for using coloured smoke bombs, too. I was a little scared the dresses were going to get stained but they were completely fine and easy to use. Pretty stoked with how it turned out and I’m in the process of penning in a few other shoots in the coming months / Cheers Matt
